2. Valuation & Market Price Disclaimer

Estimated card values displayed in Card Identifier are statistical estimates derived from historical completed sales, public auctions, and market aggregators. They are intended as a helpful baseline guide, not a guarantee of what you will receive when selling a card or what you should pay when purchasing one.

Important considerations regarding our estimated values:

• No Guaranteed Realization: We do not guarantee that any card will sell for the estimated price. Actual realized prices depend on buyer interest, sales platform fees, geographic market, and timing.
• Condition Variance: A card with minor microscopic edge whitening, print lines, or surface scratches can command a dramatically different price than a pristine Mint copy. Our algorithms estimate value based on typical raw or graded condition profiles, which may differ from your specific card.
• Parallel & Variation Distinctions: Some card sets feature dozens of visual parallels (e.g., Silver Prizm, Mojo, Hyper, Shimmer, Holofoil, Reverse Holo, 1st Edition stamps). While we strive for maximum identification accuracy, collectors must verify that the identified parallel matches their card.
• Outlier & Manipulated Sales: Secondary marketplace auctions may occasionally be affected by unpaid bids, shill bidding, or erroneous listings. While we filter data to remove obvious anomalies, statistical outliers may occasionally occur.

3. Pre-Grading Checklist & Grading Companies Disclaimer

Card Identifier includes tools and checklists designed to help collectors prepare cards for submission to third-party grading services (such as PSA, BGS, CGC, and SGC).

Our pre-grading guides, centering overlays, and condition checklists are subjective evaluation aids. Professional authenticators examine cards in person under high-power magnification, blacklight, and precise digital centering measuring tools. Official third-party grading results may vary substantially from any pre-grading checklist assessment performed on a mobile device.

Card Identifier accepts no responsibility or financial liability for grading submission costs, return shipping fees, or lower-than-anticipated numerical grades awarded by third-party grading authenticators.

4. Authenticity & Counterfeit Detection Disclaimer

Card Identifier is designed to identify card sets, player names, and variations based on visual camera scans and image patterns.

Important Limitation: The Card Identifier app does NOT perform forensic authentication, paper stock weight analysis, blacklight UV verification, rosette print dot inspection, or internal layer light-tests. The app cannot guarantee that any physical card is authentic or detect high-end counterfeit cards, recolored borders, trimmed edges, or pressed surfaces.

For high-value vintage sports cards or rare TCG holy grails, we strongly recommend submitting the card to an accredited, professional authentication company.
